I started training with United Taekwondo in 2013.
Highlights of your Taekwondo success?
Finding time and achieving 2nd Dan Black Belt after the age of 40.
Describe your first black belt grading, and what it took to get you there?
- Still remember my flying kick over the table!
- I had awesome support from my Branch Instructor John.
How often do you train? In Taekwondo? Gym? etc
4 to 5 days a week.
Favourite Taekwondo move or moves?
Flying & Tornado Kicks
What are your personal goals in Taekwondo?
To keep training and work towards becoming a Chief Instructor
Your favourite saying and what this means?
“Age is just a number” You can achieve anything you want, if you put your mind to it.
Best advice you can give someone training and wishing to start training in Taekwondo?
When you train, make sure you give 100% mentally and physically. If you are not sore the next day when you wake up, then you haven’t trained hard enough.

With regards to Taekwondo where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
Will continue to train to become a Chief Instructor so I can give my knowledge to others just like other Instructors have taught me.
