How long have you been training in Taekwondo? And what got you started?
I have been training for four years. I got started so that I could train with my son Jad.
Highlights of your Taekwondo success?
- Achieving my 1st Dan Black Belt
- Becoming a Branch Instructor
- Achieving my 2nd Dan Black Belt within four years through hard work and a lot of help, pushing, encouragement and support from Master Paul
Describe your first black belt grading, and what it took to get you there?
It was a big challenge for me and took hard work, commitment and focus.
How often do you train? In Taekwondo? Gym? etc
- I train daily
- 2-3 taekwondo classes a week
- 1-2 times in the gym
Favourite Taekwondo move or moves?
Front, side and back kicks.
What are your personal goals for the future?
My ultimate goal is to become a master in taekwondo.
Has taekwondo benefited home life? If so, in what way?
Yes, taekwondo has made me more passionate and a better communicator and I have more confidence in my kids.

Best advice you can give someone training and wishing to start training in Taekwondo?
Great exercise! Helps you think differently and overcome problems.
What other activities apart from Taekwondo do you enjoy?
Swimming, soccer, work on cars.
Favourite movie(s) and why?
I like action movies, martial arts movies but I mostly like inspirational movies and movies with a gold nugget (wisdom)
With regards to Taekwondo where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
